Suggestions

Overview
Suggestions (also called autocomplete) are the search results that appear in a dropdown as the user types in the search box. They help users find what they are looking for faster by showing relevant queries, products, or pages before the user finishes typing.
How to Configure
- Navigate to UI Customization > Advanced > Suggestions in your CSE dashboard.
- Configure the number of suggestions to display (recommended: 5 to 8).
- Choose what to show in suggestions: queries, pages, or both.
- Click Update to save.
Styling Suggestions
The look and feel of the suggestions dropdown can be customized by adding CSS in the Custom CSS Editor (UI Customization > Advanced > Custom CSS Editor).
Best Practices
- Keep the number of suggestions between 5 and 8 for a clean user experience.
- Show the most popular or trending queries at the top.
- Include product images in suggestions when possible to increase click-through rates.
