Manage Users (Dashboard Access and Permissions)

Overview

The Manage Users section lets account owners invite team members, assign roles, and control who has access to the ExpertRec dashboard. Use this section to onboard new colleagues, update credentials, and remove access for users who no longer need it.

Navigate to Manage Users in your ExpertRec control panel (route: /ecom/settings/user-management).

User Roles

  • Owner: Full access to all settings, billing, and user management. There is one owner per ExpertRec account. The owner cannot be removed by other users.
  • Admin: Full access to all dashboard features except billing. Can invite and remove other users.
  • Editor: Can edit search settings, merchandising, and UI customization, but cannot access billing or manage other users.
  • Viewer: Read-only access to the dashboard. Suitable for stakeholders who need to review analytics or settings without making changes.

To change your own ExpertRec dashboard password, navigate to Manage Users and click Change Password next to your account. Enter your current password, then set a new one. Changes take effect on your next login.

GA4 Integration Note

If your ExpertRec account email differs from the Google account that owns your GA4 property, add the GA4 account email as a user here before connecting GA4 under Advanced > Leverage GA4 Data. This ensures the authorization flow uses an account with the correct GA4 access.
